Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
At True North Clinic, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals working to overcome substance use or co-occurring mental health challenges—while continuing to live at home, work, or attend school. This flexible yet intensive level of care helps bridge the gap between inpatient treatment and independent recovery.
What Is Intensive Outpatient (IOP)?
An Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP, offers a high level of therapeutic support without requiring 24/7 residential care.
-
Adults in our IOP participate in 9 or more hours per week of direct treatment.
-
Adolescents in the program receive 6 or more hours per week of targeted care.
This time is divided between group therapy and psychoeducation sessions designed to build coping skills, enhance emotional regulation, and support long-term recovery.

Statewide Virtual Services
In addition to in-person services we offer at True North Clinic, we also continue to provide services virtually, also known as telepsychiatry and telehealth services. These cutting-edge healthcare practices enable assessment and treatment through technology, typically by way of video conferencing. This approach opens up treatment opportunities to a wider audience, eliminating barriers like transportation or geographical constraints.
